What is an EFC number and where do I find it?
Your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number is the number that is used to determine your eligibility for federal student financial aid. This number results from the financial information you provided in your FAFSA application. Your EFC is reported to you and can be found on your Student Aid Report (SAR).
If you do not know where or how to obtain a copy of your SAR, please contact either your College/University Financial Aid Office or Federal Student Aid Information Center at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
**If you filled in the wrong EFC number on the CHCI Scholarship application, no need to worry, we will compare the number with your SAR when we receive it and make corrections (if any are needed).
